Step It Up: Statement-Making Staircases

Some of my favorite spots to make a big design statement are usually the smallest-- a great powder bath, reading nook, entry way, and staircase. I rounded up my favorite statement-making staircases that wow! From striped runners, to patterns, these stairs step it up.

The orange stripe along the baseboard really makes this and highlights the curve of the stairs.

Simple, timeless sisal.

And again.

White trim sets off this looks and takes what could be a relatively neutral look to another level (I might like the pink stools even more!)

Animal print can go "Playboy Mansion Jungle Fever" fast if it's not balanced. The oversized lantern, skirted table and French overmantle mirror are perfect additions with the zebra.

A little boho flair.

Great DIY idea! The paint gives the same illusion as a rug for a fraction of the price.

Another great Stark diamond weave runner. And that Christmas garland is doubly amazing.

A fun, honeycomb geometric.

Ombre spindles add impact.

Seaglass hued painted stairs.

Cherry tomato red stair runner.

Classic nautical ticking stripe.

A modern geometric print livens up an ultra traditional staircase.

Pink!

Blue ombre stairs make white walls sing.

Candy stripes are a playful spin on a painted floor.

Brass stair rods add a jewelry-like quality to rich pink carpet and star white stairs.

Stark's Antelope print is one of my all-time favorites and one of the most livable animal prints.

Print, pattern, and color, on top of print, pattern, and color. Gild that lily!

A retro-inspired print.

Bold stripes make a basic white room not so basic.

Black and white. Never fails.

BON WEEKEND!
